Board of Trustees Monthly Meeting – March 25, 2019

 Call to Order, Pledge of Allegiance & Roll Call  ABSENT – Trustee Mackin

 1.  Resolution # _9_Approve Board of Trustee Meeting Minutes of February 25, 2019 (Exhibit 1)

Motion made by Trustee Rosenberg 2nd by Deputy Mayor Gagliano. APPROVED

 2.  Resolution #_10_Approve proposed Budget Transfers for Financial Statements (Exhibit 2)

Motion made by Trustee Ferrigno 2nd by Trustee Rosenberg. APPROVED

 3.  Resolution # _11_Approve Payments of the attached invoices in the Abstract Reports, dated  March 25, 2019 (Exhibit 3)

Motion made by Trustee Rosenberg 2nd by Deputy Mayor Gagliano. APPROVED

 

·   Enterprise Fund, 12 Vendors totaling $81,957.56

·   General Fund, 69 Vendors totaling $193,315.97

·   Capital Fund,1 Vendors totaling $68,126.40

·   Authorize Treasurer to make the required payments and transfers.

4.  Resolution # __ Public Hearing to Pierce the Tax Cap, not necessary as we are not piercing the tax cap

6.  Resolution # _12_  Set a Public Hearing on the 2019-2020 Budget for April 8, 2019, at 7:00PM, in the Bellport Community Center; copies of the budget will be available at Village Hall

7. Resolution # _13_   Accept and approve the donation of 4 Beach Tires from Mobile Fleet for our Dump Truck

8. Resolution # _14_  Approve the request for CDBG Funding for the Grant of the Bellport Village Senior Program, which is administered by the Town of Brookhaven.

Motion made by Trustee Rosenberg 2nd by Deputy Mayor Gagliano. APPROVED

10. Resolution # _15_ Approve the proposed Bellport Village Rates and Fees for 2019 (Exhibit 4)

Motion made by Trustee Ferrigno 2nd by Deputy Mayor Gagliano. APPROVED

11. Resolution # _16_ Approve the Extension of  Bid Contracts, as follows:

12. Resolution # _17_ Accept the letter dated March 11, 2019, form New York State Senator Monica Martinez, regarding the NYS SAM Grant in the amount of $460,000 for the resurfacing of Bellport Lane and Station Road, including Sidewalks, clarifying the description and scope of the project. (Exhibit 5)

Motion made by Deputy Mayor Gagliano 2nd by Trustee Ferrigno APPROVED

13. Resolution # _18_ Accept the letter, dated March 14, 2019, from New York State Senator Monica Martinez, regarding the NYS Multi-Modal Grant in the amount of $50,000 for the resurfacing of Head of the Neck Road, we expended $43,767.26 for the resurfacing with the Town of Brookhaven in an Intermunicipal Agreement. This letter clarifies and denotes the area  resurfaced for the grant for the administration of the grant. (Exhibit 5A)

14. Resolution # _19_Approve the following Special Events (exhibit 6)

a. Ecumenical Sunrise Easter Service sponsored by Mary Immaculate Catholic Church: Easter Sunday, April 21, 2019, starting at 5:45am at the end of the                  Main Dock.

b. Annual Antiques and Collectibles Fair sponsored by Mary Immaculate Church on July 4th, or the rain date of July 5th, 6am-5am, 50+ Vendors

c.  Know Your Neighbor Committee – Second Annual Square Dance on the Village Green and Community Center: Saturday, August 3, 2019 from 2PM-10PM

d.  Ho Hum Garbage Clean-up on Memorial Day Weekend, more information to be determined

 

15. Updates:

·         Ho Hum Beach – The Pavilion and the Walkway

·         Community Center Project – Bowling Alley

·         SCVOA Legislative Dinner and Awards Night: Hotel Indigo, Riverhead, NY, April 10, 2019 at 6PM.

·         SCVOA Counsel’s Corner in conjunction with NYCOM Legalization of Adult-Use Cannabis in NYS
